We have had the pleasure of working with Unison Behavioral Health Group and have found them to be extremely professional and always putting the care of their patients and community as their number one priority. I would highly recommend them.
caring staff and great company all around!
I went to Greenleaf one week and the following week (as soon as I possibly could) I went to my family doctor to get a referral to unison. The doctor said they'd call me as soon as unison called them. 2 weeks came around and no word, I had an appt with the family doc so I just went and asked them why I haven't heard anything. Unison hadn't gotten back in touch with them so they called again and this time the family doc told me that the people from Unison said to go ahead and walk in and I would be seen, no need for an appt. So I went the next day about 5 minutes after thye opened and after the receptionist gave me a number to call someone with Unison (mind you I was already in the building so having me call a representive of Unison while I'm at unison is already crazy... plus I basically had to play phone tag with the person on the phone, You would expect if you had to talk to someone that it would be face to face if you're already in the building) and gave me some papers to fill out... after filling out like 6 pages and being on/off the phone with the lady for like an hour she told me because I had Medicaid AND Medicare I couldn't do the walk in appt so she made me an appt the following Tuesday (This past Tuesday now) after I practically begged her to because I was worried about running out of my meds at this point. I went in for my appt and all I saw was a therapist for an assessment... I understand that I have to been assessed first but come on, my medicine was about to run out the following weekend. But they couldn't gimme an appt with a psychiatrist until the following Tuesday (2 days from now)... problem was I would be out of my psychriatric medicine by then so i had to make another appt with my family doc to get my meds (SO GLAD HE WAS ABLE TO PRESCRIBE THEM!!) Now only problem is since I've been back home from the psychiatric hospital (close to a month now) I've gotten maybe 72 hours of sleep at the most for the entire month... I was on sleep medication before I went to Greenleaf and the medicine the doctor gave me interacted badly with the sleep meds (made me seriously break out) and the family doctor is afraid to prescribe me anything just in case i have another bad reaction and thinks it's be best for a psychtitrist to gimme... great.. so while Unison's giving me the run around I'm unable to sleep until my body just passed out on me... which makes me terribly afraid to drive as well... Thanks for the run around Unison, if you woulda told the family doc about the walk in 2 weeks earlier when they called I would be asleep right now.
Great service consistent and understanding
I'm going blind and I'm pretty upset about it. After explaining to the doctor that I had pretty much tried all the different kinds of depression meds and they all gave me the same weird feeling that I didn't like. When I left, what was the prescription for? A medicine that I had just explained to her I couldn't take. I guess she assumed I was fishing for a narcotic? Not the case at all. Just because I have a beard doesn't mean I'm a junkie.
